Located in the elegant Andrássy Kúria & Spa in the centre of Tarcal, Talu Restaurant & Café welcomes not only hotel guests, but all lovers of refined gastronomy. Our name, “Talu”, comes from a local Zemplén dialect word meaning feather—a symbol of lightness, elegance, and deep regional roots, which perfectly encapsulates our culinary philosophy and guest experience.
Our kitchen is built on the traditions of the Tokaj region, locally sourced ingredients, and family recipes, yet always open to creative reinterpretation. Classic flavours are reimagined through contemporary techniques and bold visual presentation—resulting in dishes that respect tradition while embracing innovation.
We maintain strong ties with local farmers and small-scale producers, ensuring the freshness and quality of every ingredient we use. Our kitchen regularly features Tarcal cheese, Gesztely mangalica pork, and poultry from nearby small farms. When it comes to fish, we place particular emphasis on freshness and ethical sourcing.
